Bob Fenlason
Jr. Vice Commander - Army

 Bob served in the United States Army, Medical Service Corps.  His last assignment was with the 10thMedical Laboratory in Landstuhl, Germany, as a Sanitary Engineer.  He earned his VFW eligibility serving as a Detachment Commander with the 5th Preventive Medicine Unit in Korea. In recognition of his service, he received a Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medals, Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Korea Defense Service Medal, and other service ribbons.  After his military service he was employed with the Army Corps of Engineers as a senior Supervisory Civil Engineer.  His last duty station was with the Military Program Directorate, at HQ, USACE.

He became a Life member of the VFW in 2000, and currently maintains his Gold Legacy Life membership, and is the Junior Vice Commander at VFW Post 7916 in Occoquan, Virginia.  His VFW service includes the Scouting Chairman, Patriot’s Pen Chairman, and 3rdYear Trustee with VFW District #10.   He is also the VFW Department of Virginia Scouting Chairman.   For the years 2021-2022 he was a National Aide-de-Camp for the National VFW Commander-in-Chief. 

In March 2023 Bob was designated a highly coveted "50 Year Veteran Scout" by the National Counsel of Boy Scouts and commended for his selfless service and inspiration to countless scouts, their children, and grandchildren.
